Awingu (Sold to Corel /KKR) | CEO & Board member

Awingu was a Belgian technology company founded in 2011 and headquartered in Ghent. It specialized in providing secure, browser-based remote access solutions that enables users to work from anywhere, on any device, without the need for VPNs or client installations. Awingu's platform aggregates various applications and files into a unified workspace, facilitating seamless access to legacy, web, and SaaS applications.

In June 2022, Awingu was acquired by Corel (now Alludo), a company known for its professional creativity and productivity solutions. Post-acquisition, Awingu became part of Corel's Parallels brand portfolio, enhancing Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) with Awingu's secure remote access technology. This integration aims to provide users with flexible and secure remote work capabilities across different devices and operating systems.

Awingu's clientless architecture is notable for its ease of deployment and management. The platform operates entirely within a web browser, eliminating the need for endpoint installations. It supports features like multi-factor authentication, SSL encryption, and detailed usage auditing, aligning with Zero Trust security principles. Awingu's solutions are utilized across various sectors, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, government, and telecommunications.
